Nebbiolo, blended with Croatina and Vespolina, is also the basis for our red wine, a Bramaterra. Weather conditions for our premier vintage of 2010 were exceptionally good and we were able to harvest in early October. Open Grenier oak casks were used for mash and fermentation. The wine was aged in used oak barrels and large oak casks. The result is a wine with a great personality—with elegance, structure, and the distinctive attributes of northern Piedmont and its terroir, expressed in vivid minerality. Enogea, after tasting it in early 2013, called it a “debut with a bang.” In October 2013, we will proudly present our 2010 Bramaterra.
